We had such a great time at the new Harlem–Oliver Hardy Museum! A History Channel documentary walked us through the life and career of Oliver Hardy and his partner in comedy, Stan Laurel. Then we got to watch their very first short film, The Lucky Dog, and let me tell you, it was just as funny today as it must have been back then.
Afterward, we headed next door to Monte Olivos, where the toughest decision of the day wasn’t history vs. comedy, but Italian vs. Mexican food. (Spoiler: nobody made a bad choice.)
To top it off, Robert and Diane Holland welcomed us over to their place, where we got to meet their bees and chickens, truly the sweetest (and buzziest) hosts around.
